As a professional MC the most valuable lesson to be learned is that audience interaction is always with one person.  It’s a conversation.  You don’t have to hold the mic like you’re a rap star or pull your voice to sound like some parody of Ronnie Radio and sometimes you don’t have to say anything at all.  The hardest lesson of all is how to be yourself.

For years I have struggled to with what to call myself.  Am I a DJ?  A wedding planner? Bridal show producer?  Both associations of which I am a member, CPDJA and WPIC, have hosted my seminars to train the next generation of wedding professionals, so am I a trainer?  In more than twenty years of living in Sudbury, I have filled all of these roles.  But what do I DO?
